Tennis
There is a tennis court a short walk from the house - it can be hired for €6/hour.
Swimming
The
bathing beach at Grolejac lake is just a couple of minutes walk from the
house and offers a very safe and relaxing day of sunbathing, swimming or just
splashing about in the water.
Cycling

Just a couple minutes cycle from the house will take
you onto a fantastic disused railway line which has been converted into a paved,
safe cycle path. You can take this path to Sarlat (10km) or even to Souillac
(20km), local bike hire is available. This is a really nice day out.
Golf
A 15 minute drive from the house is a lovely 9 hole course at Vitrac or an 18 hole course can be found at Souillac which is just 25 minutes away
Horse riding
There are a number of horse riding clubs around the Dordogne area that are available for day trips , please contact us for more information or to make any enquiries.
Canoeing

One of the most popular things to do in the Dordogne is to take a canoe trip down the river. There are two canoe stations just a few minutes drive from the house, you can stop and have a picnic anywhere along the shore.
Adventure parks

There are a number of adventure type parks located around Sarlat, you can choose from tree rope absailing, paintball, quadbikes, water slide parks and even a prehistoric park. Any outdoor adventure that you may want to make your holiday more enjoyable can probably be found in the Dordogne.
Caves

The limestone cliffs of the Dordogne river valley are filled with many beautiful caves and are well worth an explore, please just ask and we advise you of some of the best.
Sightseeing

Grolejac is in the heart of the Dordogne and within easy reach of all the chateaux, bastides and well known beauty spots for which the area is so famous.
Fishing

Fishing on the lake at Grolejac is a popular day out with licences and fishing tackle available for hire locally, night fishing is also allowed on the lake, please contact me if you need more information. The Dordogne river is only a few minutes drive away and and also offers some excellent fishing.
The weather and beautiful scenery of the Dordogne and Lot are perfect for nature photography, bird watching, walking and painting.
